Introduction

No doubt evolution takes place in every aspect, so it has in our social life. Life before all this technology was simple and more peaceful. Though technology has made life much easier. Everything has its pros and cons, and anything beyond its limits is not good.

How was life before

Before, in good times, people use to meet each other with a whole heart. Life was more active and physically social. People were energetic, sporty, and lively. Activities of children and young kids were more interesting, full of spirit, and more physical, they used to meet their friends in person, play, talk and spend quality time. People were sympathetic, caring and understanding. Outdoor activities and games were considered. In simple words, we can say life revolved around truth and staying attached to others. As people use to meet with each other in person they get emotionally attached with a pure heart.

Life at present

Time passed and life evolved in all manners so there is a change in our social life. Now technology is playing a key role in our life, it has a drastic effect on our life, especially on children and teenagers. Technology has changed all the things from the past to something new which is no doubt much easier but everything easy is not good. Internet is something leading in our society it has a strong grip on youth. There is a great shift towards online systems.

Now our society lacks empathy as we become more settled with online violence. All this change directly affects children and teenagers as they are at their growing age, this is their developing stage which is now governed by the internet. According to a survey, there are almost 81% of teens are using social media and over 67% of children (3-12) have access to the internet.
Technology doesn’t fabricate the best skills to be socially interactive. Kids now do not need to depend on their imaginations what they need is just to pick up their devices and surf the internet, where they spend most of their time which is shaping up their minds and imagination.

So, in this way, most of the time now is spent alone attached to devices which develop a feeling of isolation and sadness in children and teens. Yes, we may have online meetups with our friends but there is still a lack of human contact which is the main reason for depression and anxiety in teens. Being prone to the internet at a younger age can make the child suffer from social and communication skills and be less interactive which can make them stay isolated. In the name of being more realistic people are hurting others and their feeling. It is proven that those(teens) who are addicted to the internet are 2.5 times more vulnerable to depression and anxiety. 20 percent experience depression and anxiety. According to a study it is found that teenagers who use social media more have a feeling of social isolation than others. This feeling of isolation results in depression and anxiety which may cause severe disorders after a time.
